The tower of this building looks so narrow compared to the huge podium. It’s even looks thinner than all the other surrounding towers. Is this just going to be one tower or two?
It’s actually a pretty chunky tower…thicker than the Journal Squared towers for instance. But it was originally supposed to be two skinnier towers and the developer asked to be allowed to build a single thicker tower instead.

Nice photos as usual.
You were right. I no longer think of the tower as slim at all. It must have been the angle from the north that I was viewing it from along with no glass being on it at the time that made it appear thinner looking than its neighbors.
It’s nice to be able to watch the daily progress of this tower and some others from my Newport office windows. I hope the new ShopRite is going to be bigger and more upscale while still keeping prices lower for the area. I remember shopping there almost 30 years ago when I lived by Grove St.

If I counted correctly this tower is 36 floors up. so 36/60 floors
