One of those profiles said the tower could reach 120 floors by the end of the year, making the tower nearing 1,600 feet tall by then. I hope we see that. Level 121 should be slightly above 1,594 feet according to schematics

What are the chances that once this hits 829 meters and becomes the tallest building, continued interest in funding it dries up, and the top is cropped? Also what will the highest occupiable floor be, because in my opinion that’s the only thing that should determine “tallest” buildings.
Highly doubtful. These countries care a lot about image, it’s the whole reason for building it and finishing this project in this the first place. Besides, it’ll bring in a ton of money and rep once completed (assuming the rest of the area is upgraded)

Height: 392.85 meters (officially the second tallest tower in the Kingdom)
Completion of work on (Floor 97) of #Jeddah Tower and start of work on (Floor 98)
Start of lifting the wings for (Floors 82 - 77)
The northern wing reaches Floor (82)
Regarding the actual floors (ceilings and floor slabs) that appear as lines across the width of the building, the work has exceeded Floor 80 (before resuming work, it was at 48-49)
Completion of work on the external glass claddings on all facades
Start of dismantling the old facades (which were previously installed on the lower floors before the pause) and replacing them with the new ones
Start of work on balcony claddings”

Now at 100 floors and over 400 meters (1312ft) tall (over 40% of its final height), taller than 30 Hudson Yards and approaching the roof height of One WTC!
