Europe is the continent of different architectural eras and breastfeed from the ancient Rome and Greece to the postmodern Skyline of today’s city’s.
These style vary from country to country for example in Central Europe was built in the Gothic time half-timbered houses.
The most famous epochs were:
Romanesque 10th century, Gothic 13th-15th centuries. century, Renaissance 16th-17th century, baroque end 17th-18th century, classicism end 18th-19th century century, youngstyle around 1900, modern from 1920.

Those stepped towers in Basel are by Herzog & De Meuron of 56 Leonard fame. I think they’re pretty cool, like BIG’s 2 WTC only less sloppy and jumbled looking.
H&dM is also building the controversial Tour Triangle which will be the first skyscraper built inside the Paris city limits since the infamous Tour Montparnasse. (The high rise La Defense district is outside the Paris city limits)
