I’m starting to get the feeling of a wall of buildings against the lake, similar to 59th st and Central Park, which I do not consider a bad thing in either case.

Makes me wonder, how is Chicago building a tremendous amount of housing (Multiple mega development projects and tons of high rises and supertalls) yet their population is shrinking slowly

Best I can come up with is income disparity. The wealthy will have a place in town plus possibly multiple other homes. The poor will continue to live in existing poor condition housing. There will probably be a glut at the high end for a while.
