Please forgive if I start a city vs city debate, but I have always thought Chicago is the prettiest skyline.
New York of course has Chicago beat on sheer number of buildings, but to me Chicago is the more aesthetically pleasing, well laid out skyline.
I think there are too many chunky hulks and flat roofs in Chicago for my taste. It’s lost the “human scale” as they say. It’s impressive, but a little hostile, IMO. They are both very impressive though, unmatched in the world.
I agree with this.
Lower Manhattan is my favorite. I think the two nodes could be a close challenge in terms of aesthetics, but yeah, IMO, I too think Chicago takes the aesthetic cake. Although for pure adrenaline, NYC by a mile compared to ever other U.S. city.
Vista is a nice addition to the skyline. Acts as a counterbalance for that section of the node, and doesn’t try to steal the spotlight relative to its surroundings. The design that is. Not overly flashy, but not mundane either.
Can’t wait for Tribune tower.
This is my favorite angle, this one right here. I think this is a tower of many faces (multiple personalities) and this one right here is the one that has a aquatic, psychedelic vibe to it.
This angle is cool too, but not as pronounced.
