BOSTON | South Station Tower | 677 FT | 51 FLOORS

Topped out?

Specifically the steel has topped out. They’re now going to build the rest of the structure in concrete. Just like FMC Tower in Philly

Why can’t they build to the surroundings. Seriously, an old brick building should not be dominated by a glass rectangle. Will we ever learn?

They do what they can. People (not me) want glass floor to ceiling.

If I was rich enough to live in a skyscraper, I would want glass floor to ceiling, 100%.

The main drawback for me would be the difficulty of furniture placement against a glass wall.

Off topic but Boston could use a 1000’ Robert Stern limestone tower.

Boston could also use a rail tunnel to connect South Station directly to North Station.

It should have been built during the Big Dig.

What a wasted opportunity.

I believe Logan Airport proximity has some responsibility on the height of Boston’s Skyline
