AUSTIN | Waterline (98 Red River) | 1,024 FT | FLOORS

Awesome update by gillynova at SSP.

If the most recent renderings are correct, then the top of the floor they’ve currently working on should be the roof of the lower section of the tower. It’s the third level with taller floors than the rest below.

Here’s the rendering for reference, followed by his photos.

Wife is in Austin for business right now. Her hotel room is right across the street.

I’ll be in Austin this weekend, so fingers crossed that I get to snap a bunch of photos of this (and other Austin skyscrapers) :star_struck:

I live in Texas and have been to Dallas, Houston, Nederland, fort worth, etc. and somehow I’ve never been to Austin.

is it just me or does this skyscraper look like a better fit for Chicago or Miami

I think it would look good anywhere.

Plus Austin has yet to find its style.

It does have a lot of new Vancouver-esque blue glass residentials that all look similar, but it also has Frost, the sail, this, the stacked boxes (like a lot of cities), and a few others to break it up.

Hazy morning from the KXAN webcam. The core is rising while they work on the deck level.

Drone update with lots of close-ups and whatnot. It will very soon be the second tallest in the city. It’s currently fourth or fifth.

Great shots in that video! I wanted to be as daring when I was out there in September with my drone, but was also worried about something happening  Insane to imagine there’s still another 300+ ft to go!
