Anybody know what’s going on with the old Anaconda Wire and Cable site? Huge parcel on the water with its own train stop. Still polluted?
Outside of Yonkers, but about 1/3rd of the site been certified as clean:
In all likelihood it will takes years before anything happens, Hastings definitely has to be in the top 3 of Nimby towns in Westchester!

I believe Extell bought it, and is planning a major residential project? One of the major local developers now owns the site; pretty sure it’s Extell.

Extell owns the site next to the Power House Building - that site has the abandoned BLUE CUBE building.
I think the Power House building owner is going to somehow ‘bundle’ that Extell site with the Power House building site: that move clearly makes the project more financially viable. The Power House Project has not been able to get off the ground as a ‘stand alone’ site for a variety of reasons; putting those two sites together seems the obvious solution.
The current owner of the Power House Building is a former Extell executive; so they are likely in discussion regarding putting the two parcels together. That is my own speculation on where these two LONG DORMANT sites are headed regarding future development.

I don’t know the progress of it at this moment, but here what it’s suppose to look like. From looking at the hashtag #SteinerStudios, it looks pretty much complete
