@Mackensen, I don’t believe so, only a stacking diagram, that project wouldn’t even have been able to be built to 1/15th its size in its location.
The Civic Center in NY with its 150 floors was only a concept, the technical maximum height of a skyscraper around 1930 was over 2200 meters.
Would this still be possible to build today?
Wish this would have been built but the loss of some of those buildings in its footprint would have been tragic.
I agree with that, but they’ve also demolished equally as beautiful buildings for things not as pretty like the Brooklyn Bridge access ramp/road next door on Park Row.
@007, no, there are 4 large landmarked structures within half of the proposed footprint and park it was to create.
