What do you think is the best place to view the skyline?
In Philadelphia, there’s some parking garages with great views in South Philly
I would also check out the Belmont plateau-the view is great!
But for a list:
Art Museum steps are a good option, as well as the Schuylkill River Trail. Camden waterfront provides an inereresting angle as well.
This article shows a list of some of the best viewing places.
That second photo looks familiar
Philadelphia is such an amazing city. I didn’t know how nice it was until I went there last week. It really looks and feels just like New York City but smaller and much cleaner. Once Philadelphia gets the Schuylkill Yards redevelopment, it will have a 21st century skyline.
The Philadelphia Skyline as seen from DELCO suburbs, about 13 miles from Center City. The Laurel is starting to peak out as well!
Revisited the DELCO spot at night, got a decent shot:
I can’t wait to see the lighting on the Laurel when it is completed because it will make a sizable impact from this angle
Looks like you caught them testing the lights on One Liberty as well
Great shot!!
Just wanted to share, but it looks like Google Earth has updated its 3D imagery for Philly Again! I believe it was taken in August of 2020, so Arthaus can be seen rising, as well as a few other high-rise developments. In particular though, it really helps showcase the insane amount of low-rise development and growth that Philly has been seeing in its neighborhoods recently.
Good photos of the skyline, even with all the flooding
Seattle, SF, LA, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Denver are also updated
Seems they wanted to capture the cities with no traffic and as empty as possible.
