As I posted on that Reddit forum, looks like they could be testing for dynamic animations. I was even told about this by a maintenance worker years ago that light shows would be projected from the tower, this could be it

Interesting. Please jog my memory. Couldn’t this building change colors before? I swore I saw it in green for the Eagles before.
Or was it like the old ESB lights where there was a limited color palette and it was a pain in the butt (read: had to be done manually) to change the colors? If so I’m guessing this is a centrally controlled more dynamic range of colors?

It did recently get a lighting upgrade, thankfully with the ability to change all of the decorative lighting in different colors. But I specifically believe this is a test for lighting animations like Salesforce Tower SF and the Burj Khalifa. Like I said a maintenance worker told me this tower would specifically have animations years ago
