Port Chester is looking for a master developer. They have a few things going on including a big mixed use redevelopment of the United Hospital Complex.

Port Chester Update: The rezoning a few years ago to allow larger buildings downtown has created a building boom, there are currently seven different parcels under construction downtown, plus the United Hospital / Westchester Crossing project near I-287.
Table and map overlay is my own so feel free to let me know if I missed anything or if there are errors. Mods / those who’ve been here longer than me: I think Port Chester goes in the White Plains thread, but let me know if you want a new standalone Port Chester thread or a general Westchester County thread for projects not in Mount Vernon, Yonkers, New Rochelle or White Plains.

The earthwork for United Hospital / Westchester Crossing is really impressive - multiple 50’ to 70’+ piles of dirt, but Route 1 is too hectic to try taking pictures out the window while driving and I didn’t feel like walking all the way down from downtown. Will definitely be worth checking out once they start building buildings though.

This is in the Village of Rye Brook, just north of the Village of Port Chester. As both are in the Town of Rye, this seems like the right thread to mention that this old folks’ home will be right below the busy White Plains Airport landing path.

Its busy but not on the scale of LaGuardia which has about 10x more flights per day. I believe the nearby development has extra sound mitigation measures designed into their structures (triple glaze, extra insulation etc); I imagine this development would do similar.

Demolition is well underway. I’ll try and get a photo to share soon. Funding now secured for the project. I imagine developers are locking in funding now before an anticipated rate hike . This is quite a visible project for Port Chester, I’m glad its underway having sat derelict (and caught fire) for so long.
