I guess Jean Nouvel proposed a giant shiny glass box for this tower. Glad they went with the Foster design over him. I would like to see the other competition entries, if there were any.
Edit: Apparently these were the five architects who submitted designs for the CTC:
Comcast held a design competition inviting five renowned architects to participate in the design of the building. They were: Bjarke Ingels Group; Renzo Piano Building Workshop; Ateliers Jean Nouvel; Robert A.M. Stearn, who designed Comcast Center; and Foster and Partners.
I haven’t been able to find any of the other entries, but I’d be very interested in seeing them.

This is a pretty massive building for being outside of NYC or Chicago (at least in the US). Crazy to think it was still being built just a few years ago.

Green lights on both Comcast towers! The lighting on the Comcast Technology Center is temporary (WHY) and I’m pretty sure the lighting on the Comcast Center is an actual renovation, as I’ve seen the testing since December. Comcast 1 was lit green on Wednesday
And these are the temporary lights in Comcast 2, from floors 6-60. The lantern will seemingly stay white
