Seems like this building should really get its own thread…
2024 Census numbers dropped today, looks like New York gained 129,881 people for the calendar year
…not that these estimates should be taken for anything finite for our state and city, but good news regardless
And there are fewer West Virginians than there used to be, which is always great news during the holiday season.
There are numerous plans for skyscrapers, housing, and construction. New York’s transformation will continue to amaze us over the next decades.
Snow tomorrow and a Polar vortex incoming this week. I wonder if the Hudson and Harbor will see significant iceage. It’s looking like a real possibility with temps in the low tens to single digits each night. Both banks of the Hudson are already icy.
Something different, current weather forecast for New York after the current GFC 12 run.

Coyote saying “No you not make me into a jacket.”
Plenty of rats and pigeons (and an occasional stray Pomeranian) to eat must be why el coyote looks so healthy. The ones here (So Cal) are so scrawny.
What would be funny is if Islip airport becomes the only airport with a one-seat train ride to Manhattan (since each of JFK and Newark requires an AirTrain, and LGA, BOS and BWI require a bus connection).
Not only do JFK and EWR require an air train, its around 8 dollars to use it. It would’t be that big of a deal if it was either free or much cheaper to use.
At least the LGA bus is free.
