NEW YORK | The Orchard (27-48 Jackson Ave) | 823 FT | 68 FLOORS (New tallest; Queens)

This one is further back than 43-30 24th St so it probably won’t appear much taller from this vantage point once it tops out, but it does look like it has reached the first of 2 setback levels.

It appear that this one is topped out but for the bulkheads/mech penthouses. Its definitely taller than Skyline Tower at this point though so Queens now has a new tallest!

Please see more contextual skyline photos in the Long Island City General Discussion thread.

As @TKDV mentioned it looks like just the bulkhead is left.

I like that it asserts itself viewed from Queens than Manhattan. Appropriate for the boroughs tallest

I agree. I’ve been walking around some areas in Queens I haven’t explored by foot yet like Maspeth, Elmhurst, Jackson Heights and Woodside and this building dominates.

From my walk today near Queens Blvd and Calvary Cemetary. Most of the buildings in that save One Court Square have gone up in the last decade.
