NEW YORK | The Greenwich (125 Greenwich St) | 912 FT | 72 FLOORS

I love how mighty 1 WTC looks from this angle. Extremely reminiscent of the North Tower.

The base is almost ready, and they used the clearest glass I’ve seen on the first 2 floors.

It’s also worth noting the ground-level facade is practically complete. It also looks like the concrete will be painted as it seems in this photo the concrete has either a coating or paint applied.

So good to see these final stages of completion… :star_struck:

There will be panoramic views, and natural light in every apartment. I like the way this building LOOKS, and also how it WORKS. They will COME for the Architectural Aesthetics on the outside, and STAY for the great light & views from the inside.

This building is the complete package: form-follows-function. Rafael Vinoly Architects are among the best in the business.

It has been a long time coming; glad to see this one finally completed and ready to start occupancy.

Other than those “googly eyes” looking at us from above the base, it seems rather…bland? While the views will be why people move in, I feel a touch of color (some beige or dark blue accents) would’ve improved things drastically!

That’s a good angle for this building.

Looking good from One Liberty Plaza. Note the bare metal wall against the neighboring building on Church St.

Are those metal panels? It interestingly looks like concrete, though construction photos suggest otherwise.

Eitherway, it’s good to see this one finally finishing up.

This one is awesome: glassy, classy and modernist. Rafael Vinoli never disappoints, me anyway. I have 28 posts on this topic. Click on my infoshare tag above to see my previous comments/photos/links. Also, Please do visit my instagram page: a like/follow would be nice.

The architectural concrete on this building is a rare success for that type of facade treatment: the intent was a concrete “Patina Facade” . The look now is still a bit too mottled - but will mellow and even out with time. The contrast with the smooth shiny glass is a nice feature.

Here are some other examples that admittedly have achieved a far better aesthetic effect than what we see here - but overall, it looks good IMHO. :star_struck:
