NEW YORK | The Empire State Building | 1250 FT / 380 M | 102 FLOORS

Why should the ESB be converted to residential use? It isn’t like its a poor performing office complex and losing money. The fact its filled with tenants clearly shows its a desirable property for companies to have operations at. If the ESB was struggling to get tenants for revenue aside from that of tourism, a conversion would make more sense but its clearly popular and profitable enough in its current configuration that it really wouldn’t be necessary.

because the floor plate size is ideal for conversion
unlike the 60-80s steal boxes that are vacant and cost too much to convert

or they can just force all the proles back into the office
