Whoa guess we’re in business with the lighting. I wonder if testing is complete.
WTH? This has regular doors in front of a revolving door? The entire point of revolving doors is that you don’t need another set of doors! What am I missing?
This is more common than You think because i had seen these too, i think it’s for ventilation so the temperature can be controlled.
But… that’s the whole point of a revolving door.
Every time the revolving door turns it lets in that much outside air per compartment. While this is more efficient than traditional doors it is still a factor. Too much cold air from outdoors make the highest floors unbearably warm unless there is rooftop ventilation. The cold air forces the warm air up to the top.
The view from my friend’s condo yesterday:
What’s the project under construction next to Brooklyn Tower?
I would think an air curtain would be a better solution than a set of extra doors. As a resident, all that hassle coming and going would really annoy me.
I think that’s the Brook
Great POV!
@exodius I quoted you in The Brook thread
This kind of building, it’s possible they will have a guy 24/7 to push the revolving door for you. He would also supply an added layer of security.
Great picture. I noticed a detail in the bottom right corner: a balcony full of trees.
Cole Porter -
With a million neon rainbows burning below me
And a million blazing taxis raising a roar
Here I sit, above the town
In my pet pailletted gown
Down in the depths on the ninetieth floor
While the crowds at El Morocco punish the parquet
And at 21 the couples clamor for more
I’m deserted and depressed
In my regal eagle nest
Down in the depths on the ninetieth floor
When the only one you wanted wants another
What’s the use of swank and cash in the bank galore?
Why, even the janitor’s wife
Has a perfectly good love life
And here am I
Facing tomorrow
Alone with my sorrow
Down in the depths on the ninetieth floor.
Looking at some of those streeteasy links posted above.
I like the fact that there are Floor-to-Ceiling windows; but yet not an all glass wall.
It is a good look to have some sections of ‘solid wall’ between all those tall/narrow windows: these interiors are superb.
My goal is to ultimately have a few of my fine art prints hanging from the wall of a unit or two. That would be fairly satisfying.
