Well he’s not a tourist or a general member of the public, it’s clear he was there as an employee of either the WTC or the Perelman as were the other trades people sitting on the bench, so we do know that.
Got some pics just now
Looks like they’re maybe setting up a stage?
Ribbon cutting is scheduled for September 13th. First season program to be announced June 14th. This is also apparently being branded as “PAC NYC” rather than the Perelman. I’d personally rather see it called “The Performing Arts Center at 6 World Trade Center” but hey, who am I?
On another note, I took some pics from my friends place and will hopefully post them tomorrow or today if I have time.
As for the stuff going on on the Greenwich St side, theres some rebar sticking up in a uniform manner, but the plane its on looks a little too high to be the curb/bollards for the sidewalk, though it does seem to be in the correct location for the eventual boundary of the sidewalk around 2 WTC. We shall see in the coming weeks.
I love how all the cutting geometries were kept in the same grid for the entire building (besides the little back part), it’s a very meaningful move. This will looks real nice once it’s cleaned.
I’d like to say that it’s just for cleaning because I’ve seen it out for several days now (over a week) and the LED’s are still out all over the place.
