Awesome shots!

Also, corner bollards in place and ready for concrete! Chugging along to September!

Had to see for myself!

Looks like the are only opening half of the plaza atm it’s kind of barren so im assuming theyll hold events in it like they do as the Oculus Plaza.

They took down the other remaining half of the fencing yesterday fir the area being opened. Probably just need to clean it up and then it will be opened.

It’s at quite a higher elevation than the east plaza of One WTC and thats made evident with the long concrete bench/divider mass.

There’s also still quite a bit of work to do in the back but I do suspect that it (and the wrap around to the plaza) will open soon. The Greenwich/Fulton sides will definitely be the last to open, Greenwich probably before because of the subway entrance.
Sorry about the 2 blurry photos.

Awesome! These are great, thanks for these! I can’t wait until they finish off Vesey St. up to at least 2 WTC. I can’t believe soon there will be next to no fencing. Last time it was like that, I was running around the Towers!

I agree, the area of Vesey St north of 2 WTCs footprint is very bottlenecked from being a material storage and construction site extension for the Perelman, the area was very wide before hand.

I can only imagine now once they open the PAC side of Vesey street they’ll close the 7 WTC side to redo the sidewalk and street since they’ve been neglected for almost 2 decades.

Nice! I just can’t get past how the guy is just essentially staring you down in the first image.

Hehe, I get a lot of those stares when I try to sneak in for pics

Of anything I’ve taken photos of I have yet to be stared at by construction workers or security guards, etc, and as it pertains here sometimes I’m just standing at the gate looking through/taking photos and noone bats an eye lol,

I’m more distracted by the ill-fitting suit.

I was also going to say something about that as I also noticed that before anything else. Maybe it’s borrowed as surely anyone can tell when a suit is not properly fitted when it fits that baggy. The black tennisshoes dont fit either.

I was going to comment about this yesterday
Unfortunately I’ve noticed a lot of companies are just getting really sloppy when it comes to employee uniforms, and probably issued this guard ill-fitting suits out of pure negligence. Security guards/front-of-house staff like that usually don’t purchase their own uniforms. All of the 1 WTC Durst employee lobby attendants have bad uniforms like that too. It’s really impossible to imagine any respectable company outfitting their employees like that twenty+ years ago…

I don’t think people are hating on the guy. They are saying they’re used to be a higher standard for companies trying to portray a prestigious image. I agree, we have lowered the bar in the US in terms of overall effort.

Well I was mostly joking. But if we’re gonna be real, he looks completely fine and we have no idea what he’s doing. He could be dressed up just because he wants too. He could be going on a date. Etc. We don’t know.
