It’s surprisingly good looking. Might create some jarring transitions tho with the other parts of the station that were previously renovated (like the lirr concourse which is just in a completely different style)
How long before it’s covered in ads, signage, led panels, etc.?
I could do with less gold adornment, but I’m pleasantly surprised that they didn’t appeal to his worst design impulses by going completely overboard.
I’m disappointed that there is no gold statue to hang dirty diapers from.
It doesn’t matter really. A week max before that plaque is defaced. Though in all reality, he will be long gone by the time this is actually completed and something tells me they’re going to “forget” that little feature anyways.
I like it: it reminds me of european '30s rational architecture.
The inside looks fantastic. The outside is alright but Moynihan across the street kinda overshadows it in terms of looks
