That is what i have been thinking also.
Madison Square Garden needs to be replaced; I was at the Bruce Springsteen concert at the Prudential Center on Monday. This was my first visit there and the Prudential Center blows MSG away, the Garden is too old, and the concourses are way too narrow.

I wish the state would grow some balls and exercise eminent domain over MSG. I’m not usually a fan of it but in this case I’ve always believed it to be necessary. MSG can move. The city NEEDS a fully functioning, modernized Penn and part of it needs to come back to and above ground level. They’ve done a lot of good work to try and make it better but it’s putting lip stick on a pig at this point. MSG has got to go somewhere else in order for Penn to properly function and handle the massive commuters and tourists properly.

If they won’t move msg than I hope they go with this art deco design for the exterior instead of the more glassy, modern version.

I kinda knew the Trump admin wasn’t gonna step on Dolan but I don’t mind that reclad. Removing the theater and thru running is a huge improvement.

I’m sorry but this looks terrible. Its giving “Art Deco” by Disney. IMO this is more neoclassical mixed with Federal elements, but what do i know.

I hope the interior isn’t too far off from the design of the renovated LIRR side. I would hate for it to be mismatched like it currently is. A uniformity look will go a long way.

This stone will look dirty in no time. I like the stone fin design around MSG but not at the base.
I’ll tell you what to do. Tear down that bitch of a facade and put columns where it ought to be!
