The only proper way to fix Penn is to tear down that heinous garbage known as MSG and build a proper headhouse worthy of being in New York. But we all know the Dolans will never let MSG go so that’s entirely out of the question.
I hope the new proposals are at least decent since that’s what we are going to be stuck with.
And for the love of God, I hope NJT isn’t given the short end of the stick like it was with Moynihan.

The only height that we know of is for Penn 15, at 1,270 ft. The other heights aren’t decided.
The overall sqft of the entire development was cut a little bit but what the developers will do with it is undecided.
I believe this is only for the train station itself, not the towers. Plus they’re still going thru the process about the new tracks south. They want the train station under construction while the gateway tunnel starts construction and before the new lines come from the bronx finishes.

The bids will produce their own renderings of what the rebuilt station would look like, but the conceptual renderings that were released last year give an idea of the openness they are looking for…
I’m eager to see what the architects who bid plan to create for this. Let’s hope NJT isn’t continuously treated as the “other” railroad and given subpar spaces.

It’s unfortunate that these businesses will be impacted by the sweeping Empire rezoning. However, progression in a progressive city is bound to happen. Hopefully they are able to relocate.
Honestly, fire them all. Every single one of these people need to be primaried!
These are the types of people who probably drive themselves to work/are the suburban crowd. They likely never experienced the hellscape that NY Penn is to commuters and long-distance travelers but have the audacity to try and shut down a crucial project to at least alleviate many of the problems Penn currently has.
Penn is a dump and needs to be fixed asap.

There is a large contingent in this country opposed to any public project these days. The only word in their vocabulary is “no.” They just want to swim in their pile of money like Scrooge McDuck.
