Are they FINALLY replacing the signage at 1 WTC? I feel like I can kind of make out “One World Trade Center”. That or I’m going crazy😵💫

Phew, at least I’m not the only one seeing it lol. It’s actually been missing for the past few years. They removed all the signage because letters kept coming off and were supposed to replace it a while ago and just never did until now it seems!

Oof, I can’t believe I didn’t realize there hadn’t been anything there even though I’ve walked by it plenty of times! I did notice there was no signage on the east entrance but that was it.
I’ll swing by after work and take some snaps of the “replacement(s)” that I didn’t know of

Thank god!!! That was driving me crazy. Most expensive skyscraper built in US history and they couldn’t be bothered to pay for a few metal letters. Can’t wait to see the replacement

Hopefully, the owners get to fixing all the other broken things on this tower such as the mechanical floors up top having a bunch of blown-out lights, the LEDs on the base and the beacon which has been broken for years now.

The lightning strikes have made the beacon essentially impossible to operate as originally intended, and the base lights are regularly serviced by the window washing contractor Upgrade/Gradient, but they only do it in batches once a certain amount have busted. It’s unclear why the mech floor lighting near the top is not being fixed, they used to be better about that.
