Amazing how a few hundred thousand tons of concrete can create a gravity well for eye balls. Even if you don’t like the design its sheer mass means it dominates its neighborhood in a way we haven’t seen since 56 Leonard.

I have a confession to make: When I see this building standing like a Redwood in a field of shrubs, and right on the water, I really feel like a small seaplane or helicopter will hit this tower one foggy day. I certainly hope not, but I can’t shake that thought.
