Interesting. I would have expected the joint ownership to last for a much longer time but apparently either team can opt out in 2025. Although after this opportunity apparently they need to wait another five years before they have another chance to do so.

Hopefully so. MetLife stadium is one of the ugliest in the NFL. Imagine having something on the level of Sofi Stadium or Allegiant Stadium sitting in Queens
and then they build an etnertainment district around it ohhhhh
Allegiant Stadium is really cool and has an awesome lighting scheme. NYC deserves a stadium that looks cool like this.

The Jets built that new headquarters and practice facility at Florham Park. The Johnson family name is tied to New Jersey, there’s no way they’re moving out of the state. Same with the Giants.
Unfortunate. Besides Metlife being garbage, it’s in a terrible location. And getting to it during high profile events (like the World Cup) is terrible because of NJT.
For mass transit, absolutely it can be improved. But for access by cars, which the majority of people traveling to NFL games will use, it can’t be beat.
The Jets and the Giants know better than all of us where the people paying thousands for season tickets and seat licensing live. If they thought for a second moving to Queens, the West Side of Manhattan or somewhere else in the five boroughs would be more lucrative than the Meadowlands of New Jersey they would be out in front of the conversations.
The entire Meadowlands sports complex is in desperate need of some real planning. The huge parking lots, the Race Track, the huge American Dream mall, and the Stadium could be reimagined with:
- Through running NJ Transit commuter rail service, not just the stub end current set up, which would have commuter trains running all day everyday through Secaucus Jct. to Manhattan.
- Connection to Hudson Bergen Light rail
- New mixed-use, ballpark district with housing, hotels, restaurants, and retail like The Battery Atlanta (Atlanta Braves).
- A new casino: New Jersey Is Reconsidering Legalizing Casinos Outside Atlantic City - The New York Times
- NASCAR/F1/Indy Car race track
