But the picture as mentioned in the link was not taken in 1956. Since 270 Park Ave. the steel frame is complete and the Time and Life Building is still working on the facade the picture should be from 1959.

1988 is the year given in the Flickraccount. 1989 is rather the year in which the photos were taken there:

The World Wide Plaza is completed, and the rest of the skyscrapers around Times Square are still under construction. Not to mention the Americas Tower which is still almost a year a construction ruin. Since the Development Group could no longer pay the subcontractors, construction was suspended for at least a year.
