Yes, the lack of prewar buildings, plus the presence of highways and empty lots surrounding it gives it the feel of a newer downtown core, similar to LA, Houston, etc

where’d you take that second pic from?

2nd pic in first set is in Dutch kills green, 2nd pic in second set is queens plaza south and probably 23rd st

IMG_5937 it’s so prettyyyy….

it’s nearly fully covered in scaffolding now, so masonry should start to appear soon

It actually has begun cladding on the lower floors. Just haven’t snapped a pic since I usually see it on my walks across the 59th Street bridge.
