I thought the appearance of the Twin Towers and the existence of the largely unchanged proposal portrayed in 2000 when Giuliani was mayor would have generated some curiosity since it was a Giuliani revival of a Cuomo I idea:

I wonder what the delay is for the platform over the western section.
I’m totally fine with how Hudson Yards looks now. If Phase 2 doesn’t happen, I’m ok with it, I believe how it looks now should be the image of Hudson Yards. It could become too much of a cluster with all of those tall buildings proposed…maybe they’re focusing on building north for now
Phase 2 is almost certainly happening. Also, it’s already a cluster.

No. Kuafu, The Chinese entity that owns this site, also owns the one on 60th just east of Lex. They’re probably under pressure from Chairman Xi.
Well as the Bally’s proposal has won in Chicago, I really don’t wanna see the 78 design go to waste. It was easily the most creative and best looking, even without the observation tower (which I still want.)
So (and this is a complete pipe dream) I was thinking of fitting it into Hudson Yards. I’d love to see how it would look, and if right on the Hudson it could still have that riverwalk.
