Update on expansion of transfer capacity between the “7” train platform and the 4/5/6 platforms.

There wasn’t a more elegant way to install those supports? It’s no Chambers Street in terms of grimy but this station’s ceilings are anything but “grand” and look so derelict. I’m glad all the capacity and movement issues are being addressed but I wish we could walk and chew gum at the same time.

Hopefully, the MTA scrapes that roof and gives it a new coat of paint or leaves it bare.

The MTA started doing tunnelling work for an additional passenger passageway for the 7 train at Grand Central.

I saw the steel framework going up on Lex and wondered what was going on. This is a great idea. It will make exiting that part of midtown easier.
