The Gowanus redevelopment reminds me a lot of the Bjørvika redevelopment in Oslo- another formerly industrial area on a waterway turned into a dense new residential neighborhood. One can only hope we can take some notes on their inclusion of pedestrianized areas and green spaces when more of these projects near completion.
