NEW YORK | 790 Seventh Avenue | 1500 FT | FLOORS

I hope this info is still current and a 1500 feet skyscraper is built here. The building is not a loss to the streetscape.

„ U.S. Among other plans, the investment company is finalizing plans for a mixed-use tower to take the place of the current Manhattan at Times Square Hotel. Once redeveloped, the nearly 1,500-foot-tall building will include 250 hotel rooms and 150 condominium residences. ARTIC will continue to operate the hotel on an as-is basis while the plans are in development. “

1,500 fter right on Times Square? There are only 2 locations in the city better than this! If it actually goes through it will be amazing.

I’ve been wondering when the Qataris will redevelop that heinous building. I’d like to see it include an Islamic cultural center along with the hotel.

If this is the Shvo building, I don’t believe this is proceeding. If I recall. It’s been a while but I recall a Shvo tower not making it.

No. It’s the Manhattan Hotel that the Qataris bought a few years ago.

I can’t believe that I almost forgot about Shvo. He’s a real putz.

Ah, I see.

Yeah I could of swore there was something similar but I might be confusing myself.

I’m hoping they develop something here.

Likewise with Pakistan via the Roosevelt Hotel.

probally if covid didn’t happen there would of been some movement. 2019 was red hot.

This would be a great location for something this tall.

I recall talk of a very tall tower by Shvo. Where was it supposed to be ?

I believe this was supposed to be the Shvo tower. A rendering of the same design was on Shvo’s website.

…and what do you know, the dror website lists Shvo as the client.

Nice, but should be taller for that area.

I think that that figure isn’t real. The Qatari group will build very tall IMO.

that sounds about right for the current building which is a big box hotel.

There is no way that rendering is 200 ft

This article is four years old, but I’d imagine that an owner with very deep pockets like the Qataris will not redevelop this disgusting flea bag given the ultra-prime location.

Perfect spot for Prince Alwaleed to purchase and build his mile high tower!

Waiting for Godot!

I think that the chances of something spectacular rising here are far greater than Vladimir’s and Estragon’s hopes of meeting Godot.
