NEW YORK | 711 Seventh Avenue | 343 FT | 32 FLOORS

It’s a shame that the developer could not acquire the building with that junky gift shop. The building is clearly beautiful and should be restored, though obviously, it won’t be.

I guess I hadn’t been paying attention much, or maybe since I dont venture into TS. I didn’t know the buildings had even been demolished already. It would’ve been better had both buildings been acquired, not just the too many signs gift shop.

You sure they aren’t selling signs?

Quite possible

It’s unfortunate though because the building underneath all the stuff slapped on it looks nice.

I believe that SLG owns the corner building with the sign. They probably wouldn’t sell to developers whom they regard as novice putzes.

You’re right, though that makes one wish that SLGreen had just bought the surrounding lots instead.

I was eternally grateful that they bought that odious Smilers Deli that was on the corner.

Here’s my post from 9 years ago. Like you, I assumed and hoped that SLG would buy the whole site. My assumption was wrong, and my hopes were dashed.

Can’t believe its been 9 years already. Gives new meaning that once your hooked to NY RE and NYC, its 25 to life with no parole. And no possibility of ever losing interest! :beers:

The city that continues to give.

That’s true.

That’s true even from 3000 mile away.

YIMBY’s clunky “Vanessa Londono” bot has published this as a separate building, but it’s the same as 711 Seventh Avenue.
