Your first pic is… unsettling? I don’t know how else to describe it but the XI combined with this building looks like some sort of building genetic mutation haha.
Gotta say, the windows were always going to make or break this thing, and they turned out better (i.e. less cartoonishly bubble-shaped) than the renderings made them out to be.
looks like they are all growing out of the same spot in the ground or something haha. maybe twisty towers look best on their own, not in a cluster of other buildings.
if anything, this is how a highline hugging tower should look. Not just glass, glass, glass like some of them have been.
great shots all around baronson!
I really like the quirky appearance of this building: some buildings are simple structures to contain and shelter their inhabitants; other are literal works of art that contain and shelter their inhabitants - this is the latter. I too look forward to the ‘peeling off of the glass film’ - that will be a refreshing site to see.
This building properly belongs in London. What an astronomical expense it must have been to outfit every unit with its own TARDIS.
So far now I have heard two interesting comparisons; this one I think is a bee hive. The other I heard somewhere in this thread is ‘bubble wrap’ . The bubble wrap comparison wins.
I agree. I am thinking more insect pod but could not find a good google image.
