That would probably be the old ABC studios at 66th and West.
Sounds about right. Wonder if anything will happen with that lot in my life time.
I think they’re waiting until the new building is fully operational before they tear it down.
Makes sense. Once Hudson Square is fully operational the impact of Disney/ABC leaving the Lincoln Square district will be transformational for certain.
This is one of the best residential condo projects in NYC IMHO - particularly the interiors. ![]()
Now that this building has topped OUT ; time to take a look IN.
The work done on the apartment interiors are all excellent: optimal ceiling height at about 9 feet, large punch windows (not floor-to-ceiling), minimal trim work at baseboards and window casing, no crown moulding. The feel, flow, finishes, light, and views in these apartment make for a superb interior design.
This is what I consider optimal interior detailing; for so all of the above reasons and more…fantastic work all around by Snohetta.

Also, the website link I posted here has a nice feature: a ‘fluid Image slider’ that shows a view of the building at different times of day/night.
The supertall will be just to the right of this building.
So it’s a little taller than the TimeWarner towers?
This condo tower is now complete; and proves the fact that - Modernist Architecture Can Not Be Beat.
This is truly the epitome of Architectural excellence.
The perfect angle of the shot, the mottled light affect, and dramatic cloud formations helps this photo take a lot: but 50 West 66th Street is a stunner… ![]()
