With that crisp shot I can confirm that steel is finished. You can zoom into the 3 tops and see that they are flat

This is a very nice first course.
270 and 350 Park will be the steak and lobster course!
It seems like this has been u/c forever, I just wanna see the fins light up lol
I think it’s because working with part of an older building posed some unexpected challenges. It was worth it though, this tower is a beauty.
Am I the only one that find the fins look shorter than whats in the renderings?
Also they seem to be one thickness as opposed to having setbacks
It looks like only one section of the fin is built so far if you go by the render. I hope they they didn’t cut that part out
Looking at this render, this is probably the most accurate image when comparing to the actual tower. The 3 spires have a concrete base, then the 3 steel spires become more skinny than the base but do not change thickness as it rises. It also looks like the cladding on the spires have changed, looks like the 4 corners have metal cladding on them. The east and west face have the strips of light and are surrounded by metal like the metal cladding that runs up the entire building and it also looks like the north and south face have kept the design to be lit as originally planned. Though I feel like the lights will cast shadows of the steel structure onto the lit spires at night like the Comcast Technology Center
(At the time I took this picture the top section of the spire was being maintained)
ugh, you’re right.
I too am sorry I observed too much, those 3 spires should’ve been completely lit. One thing I really don’t like about Foster is when most of his buildings are first revealed it the rendering does not show the finalized design…unless they tweaked the design
