I was assuming that they would replace the lighting with leds but in the same effect of the current lantern.

That lower setback is gonna look really awkward when this is done. The tiny setback, with the contrasting glass sections being the buffer between rectangular and octagonal floors, looks really cool as is. I can’t imagine it looking as good when everything is the same homogeneous glass and bronze.
