Excellent news, Bob.
Mr. Griffin’s palatial abode will fit seamlessly on the skyline with Mr. Dimon’s castle.
New York is just incredible.
this is the next supertall to rise
Indeed, my good man!
Hopefully not the current design. Really don’t like the Foster + Partners copy and paste.
The back on the other design was a problem, but the front side made the overall design considerably better than the current one. The original design would have been iconic, this current one I’ll have to ignore when looking at 175 and 270.
I like the current design. Maybe Foster will come up with something different, but I’d be very happy to see this rise.
I mean, it’s fine really. I wouldn’t be like “That’s an eyesore”, I’d just be disappointed because fine is all it is. It’s nothing I’d say was iconic or exciting.
But ig this is what the tenants want
I think that it’s beautiful. I look forward to Citadel giving the green light here. I’d like to see a full length rendering which shows all of the setbacks as the tower rises.
I would also like to see renderings from all sides. Also one at night
I too like the render a lot. As always I’ll wait for a reality show to pass final judgement.
It’s a handsome building. I wonder if incorporating the facade somehow could be possible.
I believe the loading bays (or one of them atleast) would be located where the building is, so I not sure how well that would really fit in keeping the facade intact if the bottom just becomes a garage door, it would look out of place at that point.
Pardon for my ignorant question, but is the new recent design official for this tower?
Also in curiosity, for the original design (the one with a diamond like shape), what other midtown location would be perfect or appropriate for it to be placed?

Given how much the revised design for 350 Park resembles the placeholder design for Vornado’s One Penn East site, I think the two are perfect for a switch-a-roo!

Nice! The original design looks perfect there!

One of the earlier placeholder designs for the One Penn East site (back when Vinoly’s design for 15 Penn was in contention) looked very similar to the first 350 Park design with its “cheesegrater” massing.
