Sounds like it’ll be a fall opening for Fogo de Chao
why have you put the same four pictures in every thread on this forum??
Has anyone whose been down recently seen any update on the fitting out of the new eatery going in? I’m hoping we’ll get some more leasing activity in the above ground portion before too long.
I haven’t noticed any changes in the few times I’ve actually passed by 3 WTC on that corner. If there has been any progress made it’s not evident through the outside since the advert stickers on the glass are covering the interior from view.
Darn but understandable. Hopefully won’t be too long and then the podium will stop looking so dead
Not big news but it’s something - Fogo de Chao is still planned to open at 3 WTC - now at some point this year (was supposed to open at the end of 2024).
“With 76 locations in the US and over 100 globally, Fogo’s 2025 development pipeline includes openings in the renowned World Trade Center in Manhattan’s Financial District, as well as the Venetian in Las Vegas.”
Brazilian barbecue is incredible, I recommend it to everyone who enjoys barbecue to try it once in their life. I miss a restaurant on the top floor of tower one or future tower two, in the style of Windows of the World.
This is one of some prospective renderings done a while ago.
A big Nike would be the perfect fit for all this empty retail.
If only. I think they have one in Brookfield across the WSH. Regardless, it’s criminal how underutilized the retail space around 3/4 WTC is. I think they have a Brazilian steakhouse opening sometime this year?
Yes. But this would’ve been like a flagship store, much bigger than bfpl.
They had a hurdle leasing this space and that’s probably why 2wtc’s redesign seems to have no retail, compared to the 105k sqf it originally had.
Makes perfect sense considering the state of brick and mortar retail. Everything considered I don’t think any new project should have to include commercial retail space until, or if when, retail space becomes viable again. Too many retail spaces empty everywhere in the country. Thank you Amazon, et al.
