Nice photos, Tom!

Nice work, Tom!
Hopefully, someone will sign on for 2 WTC too. I suspect that given the issues with the foundation, Foster’s tower will rise here.
I’d like to see NewsCorp anchor BIG’s tower at the Yards.
I’m quite curious to see how Silverstein will handle the whole 2 WTC situation in terms of the building’s final design. Since the original tower was designed by Foster and then he was dumped for BIG when Fox/News Corp came on board but since that deal fell through, I wonder how Silverstein will address that on the website and whatnot since 2 WTC’s webpage still displays the BIG design and still mentions the whole Fox and News Corp deal as if it was final which we all thought it was but it fell apart at the 11th hour. I also do believe that Foster’s tower will ultimately be the final product (hopefully) but I wonder how Larry would give Bjarke the boot considering all the fanfare that was built up around him since his design was unveiled last summer.
Even if Larry actually decides to keep BIG on as the architect (which I don’t see as very likely), I guarantee you that it would be a totally different design.
BIG’s design just does not work on Foster’s foundation without spending a lot of money.
Oh I know, I was just saying how if Silverstein does in fact go back to the Foster design, it will create quite a stir in the architectural community since they and the media have been parading around BIG and their 2 WTC design since last summer and all of a sudden, it changes back to the initial design. I wonder how Silverstein will formally announce the future of 2 WTC. Its official webpage hasn’t been updated to reflect the recent developments (or lack thereof) and clearly shows the BIG design meant for their planned but now cancelled HQ.
Back on topic, I’m glad 3 WTC has a bright future ahead of it. It doesn’t seem all that long ago when we were uncertain about the fate of this tower and now it’s slowly taking its place in the Lower Manhattan skyline.
I didn’t know where to post it so I guess I’ll just post it here haha. I’m going to NYC for a week next Wednesday and counting on that it’s back from “maintenance” will try to snap the most pics possible of most U/C buildings with a professional camera.
happy and excited that I can contribute something meaningful to the forum haha.
Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the steel support that will make the glass fins on top of 3 World Trade Center?

New glass!
