I was late for my train and couldn’t stop to take more, but the stone walls are being installed on the Madison entrance. And there are several panels waiting for installment on the ground.

It’s ofcourse way too early to judge anything firmly but that doesn’t look that good.

Agree with this but aren’t these meant to have plants/moss growing off them?

I believe thats the end goal per the render but I’m not sure whether thats going to be an over night thing or it will eventually look like the one render which is relatively lush so I find it hard to believe that theyre gonna install plants striaght onto the stone.

I think this would’ve been more successful if the fragments had been apart of a giant slab that was just broken instead of creating a faux polished edge fragmented look.

I agree, it looked very rubbery in person. Like something you would see in a casino. Hopefully it will look much better when they cover it in plants like in the renders.

Another large photo dump.

As scheduled, they opened up the 383 Madison and 250 Park sidewalk and half of the 47th St. roadway, the eventual north side of the street is clearly taking shape though.

As it is now the Park Ave side will just be a vast hardscape with no greenery (which is actually kind of upsetting) Even though the Madison Ave side is the designated POPS, the Park Ave side isn’t really a plaza. But anyways, that is somewhat starting to shape up as well. Lot of progressing on the interior finishes as well. The column cladding really add a lot of heftiness to how they appear inside the lobby as well as on the exterior.

I’m still holding to make a final judgement on the rock walls, but like I said before, I do not like it as it is now. I’m hoping the plantings make it look not awful. It looks fake/plastic like because they’ve been polished so much, rubbery as John mentioned. There’s no roughness to them anymore. Outside of that, there’s alot of progress on the shaping of the plaza in general.

Derrick crane has been completely removed.

Mostly random from this point out

Lastly, a diagram showing the extents of the lighting on the N/S facing facades. The diagrid on the W/E faces is fully lit throughout, but only the lined in red portions on the photo are lit on the N/S sides. This matches the lighting seen on the renders.

Amazing update!!! :star_struck: What an epic building! Curious about how that rock wall will eventually look, but overall this building is truly stunning! What sort of setup do you use? I’m guessing a 100-500mm…?

A couple more pics from the trading floor. Not much progress since last post. A few offices being put together and lighting has been partially installed.

Seems like they’re really leaning into the copper/brown look on the office floors, in addition to heavy presence on exterior and lobby. Do we think that brownish beam on the top floor above is meant to be that color or is it temporary? Seems unfinished but also color is on brand.
