NEW YORK | 270 Park Ave | 1,389 FT | 70 FLOORS

I found this rendering in an Oregon State engineering textbook excerpt – a greyscale version, but with a taller crop showing the street level, and with more visible details than the small version I found previously:

The smaller colour version:

My attempt at combining the higher resolution greyscale version with the coloured version:

Definitely looks like a slippery wall in that last photo lol. It must be water.

Somewhere out there Robert Walpole is going gaga.

I am tearing up just thinking about what a great poster he was.

New York! America! Waterfalls! Robert Walpole!

The diamonds once again make it easier to track progress. Working our way towards half-way on the fourth section:

Great shots!

It seems like this one has greatly picked up pace again. I suspect the transition between the 3rd and 4th tier was just a lot of work (in addition to it just being mech now but for the 2 conference floors). We’ve reached past the halfway point of the 4th tier now at some 1175’. Maybe I will try to update my progress timeline in a few days/over the weekend.
