Looks like its fast approaching the tip of the Chrysler building, which would put it in the range of 980ish ft.
I’ll be going to the Central Park zoo tomorrow, will see if I can stop by.
@bertgonzales on instagram has great aerial shots too. Worth checking out
In a way, but think of them more as a privacy/visual screen to hide the louvers.
@chris08876 the building is at around ~965’, it’s actually situated in an isolated topographic high point in midtown, so it appears taller than it really is.
Very possible that the next set of columns that would finally push this into supertall territory could be installed in the coming week.
Cladding has picked up pace again, but I suspect there may be a very slight pause since some portions of the 2 floors above the current level of the façade have not been fire proofed.
The only elevator banks in this tower are the 2 banks that start at the lobby or i’m missing something?
Is there a skylobby at the top of the first setback?
There’s a total of 63 passenger elevators and 13 service elevators in the tower.
24 shuttle elevators take passengers from the 1st floor (UG) to the 14th floor.
At the 14th floor 5 banks of 12 elevators each take passengers to the tower floors.
That explains the core change near the end of the first setback, thanks.
Tower Verre looking gorgeous in all those shots!
Love that skyline shot!
YEP,my baby does.It always does:grimacing:
This one has entered supertall territory at some ~996’ now. Only 5 more levels on this tiers (not including these 2 new ones)
the boom tip height is probably somewhere around final roof, i would think
I’d say between the taller of them they are more or less at the height of the top of the 4th tier, the last tier should top out past the edge of the frame.
