LOL exactly -economics has no place in a discussion about 270 Park Avenue. And if I had 2.7 trillion dollars for all the times nobody asked me to post my photos on YIMBY, my name would be Jamie Diamond.
How is saying “lets fund the photography” we all enjoy “economics”
Someone brought it up and I was just saying its a good idea. Sorry to all the amazing photographers out there, I tried.
I am of your opinion.
Yeah personally I’d encourage all of our creative posters to include a link to their Patreon pages (if they have them) in their YIMBY bios. It’s not like there’s any obligation for forum members to pay up.
This tower will look dominant in this view once it reaches 1000 ft
I was actually agreeing w/you, but may have been too snarky, as if a building being constructed for the biggest bank in the US has nothing to do w/economics!. However, I also make a point not to upload any pictures that I really consider keepers. I’m not being paid but I am happy to share what I’ll call the purely informational images, with the group here. Every now and then I do post something I care about and hopefully that approaches art, but those are 100% on file w/the US Copyright Office.
I don’t see the need for anyone dissing, we all have wonderful contributions of the past and future on here. Back to 270 Park
I hate that you incessantly post everywhere but here we are.
Every post from you makes me wonder if we are all being subjected to a cruel Turing test.
Awesome pictures! Love the wide angles!
This is officially the last warning to you 007 and yes there is not another one.
If you ignore this then you will get your ban for at least a month.

Making its mark. Almost the height of the Bears Sterns building (383 Madison Avenue).
We can somewhat use One Vandy as a measuring stick gauge. Will be close in height. Only 270 Park… thicker!
Guys and gals its Thanksgiving week, the week where we give thanks for steel, rebar and concrete. So let’s stay on topic and watch the towers rise!
Love the way this video pans through it. Also I noticed when looking at HY that like all of the buildings are basically placeholders. Did they just not have the assets? Was it far enough in the background to just not matter?
It’s just something that’s interesting.
I think they diminished HY in order to highlight 270. There’s usually lots of office lights on at night.
The One Vanderbilt model is pretty fake looking too. My guess is the actual reference footage used to anchor the rendering was out of date, all the newer buildings had to be added in, and HY was far enough in the background they didn’t bother rendering it to the same level as One V (and 270 itself obviously)
