They started fitting some of the porthole window frames at the end of last year. (Near top of image)
Is it me or is the facade on this going up so slow
It’s going up very slow from when it just wasnt going up at all.
Definitely not you.
Good to see the windows being installed. The porthole windows are an intriguing look. This building has multiple features that if find quite attractive.
Here is a rendering of the porthole window as it looks on the inside.

Thanks, that is much better. The interiors are fantastic too. However, the real architectural excitement is all on the outside.
There is a lot to like about this much maligned work of quirky architecture.
The glittering metallic facade tiles, the porthole windows, that big square crown; are just a few of the my favorite features of this unconventional architectural design. What we are getting here is awesome, iconic, and engaging.
This is what we need more of today; buildings that make us do a double-take, that are imaginative, maybe even a bit quirky and chaotic. I predict that this building will be well like among the general public; and a big financial success as well.
Ha ha love this.
Not everyone shares our sense of humor I guess. Give us death or give us development. Only Meganom gives us both

Well you got four likes for it at present.
Still relatively slow here, panels with the new modulation of windows above the blow through floor are waiting at the base though. I really want to know what the mechanical floors will be covered with…
What is causing the facade to come together so slowly here?
They’re broke.
If this crap goes the way of 45 park place it will be the worst eyesore in NY history
Projects like this have a way of getting finished over time. I saw a lot of this in Bangkok.
Here’s hoping it has structural issues that force it to become stalled then demolished
OMG, lol no!
Perhaps they’re waiting/hoping that interest rates come down? Presumably they have a development loan here and a meaningful portion of their construction costs to date have come in the form of equity (rather than drawn from loan).
