It is what I call a Lego Condo - standardized components, buildable, cost effective and efficient construction. Every bit rectilinear - all strait lines, all right angles, all easy assembly.
And, I looks fine.

There will be a new staircase and elevator for the subway but I can’t find anything about the walkway between the building and the subway station. Are they going to replace the walkway?

The walkway appears to remain, particularly since it is shown in renderings of the building. I assume it will be repainted and given a refresh, though.
I did notice blue plywood in locations that would indicate staircases on the platforms when I was there so yes they are adding more stairs to the station.

Nothing too spectacular but most definitely an upgrade to what was there before. A nice addition to the area.
