Nice photo set of the construction site. Thanks WHAT THE WHY.

Speaking of what/why. I notices that there are often custom made ladders on many job sites: fashioned out of rough 2 X 4 lumber. I wonder why they choose to fabricate a custom made ladder rather than use a standard ladder. (See last photo in the set posted above)

Inquiring minds need to know.:thinking:

My hot take: it is a nice little job for the apprentice carpenter to sharpen his/her skills. Some day that person will be a MASTER Carpenter; so this is a good start. :star_struck:

I think it’s more to do with these ladders being needed at a specific location for an extended period of time, making fabricating a fixed ladder from scratch more sensible. Also they’re a lot more accommodating in their width than a standard 16”-24” wide extension ladder.

Good point. That sounds a lot more plausible than my apprentice training theory…:innocent:
