I agree. Do you remember how horrible this block was on the north and south sides before it was cleared for Nordsyrom and 220? It’s hard to believe that the site of 220 was occupied by this garbage!
This busted down school was on the south side of 58th and is part of the Nordstrom site.
After this landmark, I can’t wait to see what Mr. Roth has planned for 666 5th!

Although I still can’t quite match the current state of the tower with the renders we’ve seen, maybe we haven’t seen the exact final design?
I think the design we’ve seen is what’s being built. It’s on Vornado’s website and DeSimone’s.

I never realised how prominent this area will be for both this and Nordstrom, will be incredible to look up at these beautiful, contrasting giants!

Hey guys, I finally signed up for the Yimby Forums! I’d been putting it off because I hate juggling accounts on multiple sites, but as many of you have noted, there’s just too much good info here that isn’t making it to SSC.
Anyway, just a quick question: how long do you think it’ll be before the tower portion is visible from the Park side? It feels very close. Once this, Nordstrom and Steinway all break out into view, people are gonna freak out!
