Floorplates really getting small up there:

I believe the last residential floor has now been poured based on that photo!
According to the vertical layout I see the last resi floors are in setback groups of 4, 4, 3, and 1.
If I’m not mistaken there are only 4 or 5 more levels of concrete remaining before the crown.

Should soar even faster now…
Went up 3 floors in 20 days
They’re on the 84th level and they’re 1,149 feet high
I also think floors 84-91 (roof) are going to be surrounded by concrete, another concrete bulkhead but the biggest of the 3. Then the steel for the crown will rise above the concrete bulkhead
This buildings ratio is nuts!

Here’s a diagram I made of what I’m talking about (tuned mass damper is included, on floor 88)
The bulkheads that are surrounded by concrete walls are darkened
Here’s the original diagram
And heights if you couldn’t read it on the low quality diagram
I have a feeling the crown/bulkhead is going to take forever to complete. OneManhattanSquare timeframe.
At least this one will be worth it…

According to the comments, the tuned mass damper will be lifted next month or February
I remember you from wiredny - good to see you still following developments in NYC architecture.
Looking forward to seeing your photos. BTW, this is Paul too - nice name.
