Great photos above by NYC76 - thanks. You have got them all - street view, vicinity view, and skyline view…cheers
IMHO - shoP and the gang are the best… ![]()
I have come to realize that there are basically 3 vantage points to every tall tower. I refer to each of them individually as “street view” and “vicinity view” and “skyline view”.
Here is a great ‘vicinity view’ of 111 West 57th street. This building has a great vantage point in all three aspects: street, vicinity and skyline.
I agree. It’s an amazing building. It would go over the top if the planned lighting scheme had worked.
Yes, I agree - THIS would have been amazing. IDK, maybe it is still going to happen at some point. ![]()

If anybody in Brooklyn happens to be in Prospect Heights, Brick Art on Vanderbilt (near Bergen) is now carrying my postcards https://brickartstore.com
I’ll check them out!
The Brick carries really nice stuff
When I was there dropping them off, I overheard a customer tell the owner that he was an architect from Spain. I was like 'ok, I think I’m in the right place!
Congrats 5B, love your work.
Thanks @GSPLover!
FYI…I was told they were going to put them out this weekend…so they might not be on display until Sunday. I have a lot of Steinway because frankly that one had me obsessed.
I’ll check next week - and send you pics
Right on, thanks!
Here is another interesting ‘vantage point’ to view 111 West 57th: 69th street and Park Avenue.
If the three views (vantage points) can be categorized as; curbside/street view, and vicinity view, and skyline view - I would say this is a vicinity view.
